Who are sponsored ?

The students who are sponsored are from poor families. Their parents work mostly in office as helper or as hawkers, laborers, house maids, sweepers and cleaners. If they can get scholarships or sponsorships they like to send their children to Blue Sky Public School because we teach in English and provide better library, computer and sports facilities.

Who Can Sponsor

Individuals, groups and organizations can sponsor one or more children at our school. They may choose the boy or girl they'd like to sponsor, and we will send an annual report of academic performance once a year by mail or e-mail. Sponsors may talk with their children via Skype under the care of  the principal, and may send e-mail messages to the children via the principal.

Why Sponsor

Many children are still not going to school. The Nepal government is trying to improve the situation, but there is not sufficient  motivation to attend government schools. BPS School provides a quality education with a computer lab, a special library, a kitchen garden, sports, dance, whiteboards, display boards and online English classes by a native teacher. The school provides scholarships as well, but we need money to run the school and to develop our facilities. Principal Prem Oli  is working to find more sponsorships for poor students. The aim of the school is not only to educate  the students but to change their lives. The sponsorship  money will be for school fees, stationery and books.

How to Sponsor

Many pupils are on a waiting list. Sponsors can choose a boy or girl whom they would like to sponsor. Parents come to meet with the principal or are referred by a local community office. All sponsored children are from poor families.
